Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) provides a learning experience for various levels of nursing students.
Please note: Students cannot be placed on the ZSFG campus without first executing a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), which is an agreement for Use of Facilities for Clinical Experience between the school and San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). Establishing an Agreement does not guarantee a placement opportunity within ZSFG.
At present, ZSFG is NOT able to accommodate any new RN, NP, & PA affiliation.
In our evolving response to COVID-19, ZSFG is taking actions to protect the health & safety of our patients, staff, visitors, & community.
Effective immediately, we will not permit nursing & allied health students to participate in clinical experiences or observations in our
Skilled Nursing Facility Unit & Emergency Department. For now, we will continue to provide students with the opportunity to participate in educational &
training rotations in our inpatient acute care units, outpatient clinics, & ancillary departments; however, all students, including advanced practice
nursing students, cannot be assigned to participate in the care & management of patients being medically screened for or diagnosed with COVID-19
